Anakiwa
The BACKPACKERS is located at the southern end of the Queen
Charlotte Track on the water’s edge of the
delightful Bay of Anakiwa, Marlborough Sounds. Just 30 minutes drive
from Picton and 20 minutes from Havelock.
History
Built in 1926, it was the family homestead of the first
settler in Anakiwa who owned the Bay in the early years.

We are a small, homely, boutique Backpackers in the stunning
Marlborough Sounds.
It’s the perfect place to rest and relax after
walking or mountain biking the Queen Charlotte Track. Or
stay a while in beautiful scenery & native gardens
and enjoy
shorter day walks, swimming, biking, kayaking, boat
cruises, water-skiing, windsurfing, fishing, marine life, native birds
& bush, glow worms and wine tasting in New Zealand’s largest
winemaking region, Marlborough.
In the Summer, the Green Caravan Café is on site
offering delicious CPR espresso coffees, ice-creams, cold drinks & snacks.
